To sublate the thought of private property, conceived communism is completely sufficient. To sublate actual private property, it takes an actual communist action. History will bring it, and that movement, which we already know in thought as a self-sublating one, will in actuality undergo a very rough and extensive process. As an actual progress, however, we must regard that we have acquired from the outset both a consciousness of the limitedness as the goal of the historical movement, and a consciousness that outdoes it.
